Our story
Built after it happened to me
I was embezzled from. To understand how it happened, I had to learn the front desk, the billing and the claims myself.
I'm a dentist and I own my practice. For years I trusted the reports, because the reports looked fine. They looked fine because the money that went missing never made it into them.
After I found out, I stepped into the front office. I took payments, posted EOBs, worked the claims and called the insurers. I learned the job the people at my front desk do every day, and I learned it the hard way.
What I saw from the front desk
Billing and claims take far more time than most owners realize. An insurer says a claim was paid, but there's no check at the bank, so someone spends the afternoon on hold trying to find out where it went. Or a check has clearly been deposited, but the claim is still open, and someone has to dig through bank statements just to be sure before closing it.
None of the systems talked to each other. The practice software knew what was posted. The bank knew what arrived. Nobody was checking one against the other, and that is exactly the gap that let money disappear in my office.
What Sentry Seal does about it
Sentry Seal links to the practice's bank account and matches every deposit to what was entered in the practice software. When the front desk closes an EOB, the check waits on a list until the bank shows it deposited. When an EFT lands and the claim is still open, the desk sees it and closes the claim knowing the money is really there. Cash is confirmed by the patient, cards by the processor, deposits by the bank.
Built for both sides of the office
I've been on both sides now. As the owner, I needed to know where every dollar went. At the front desk, I needed less chasing and a clear answer to "did this get paid?"
Sentry Seal is not about watching the front desk. It gives the people doing the billing the answers they need without the phone calls, and it gives the doctor proof instead of reports. When the numbers are right, the record shows it, and good work speaks for itself.
Tested where it's used
Sentry Seal runs in my own practice every day. Every screen and every alarm was shaped by what went wrong in my office and by real days at a real front desk. Nothing reaches another practice until it has worked in mine.
